It’s Suuuuuuummer Tiiiiiiiime!!! This year, D.C. jumped directly from 60 degrees to 90 with little time to adjust. At just like that, all the farmers markets were brimming with strawberries, and blueberries, and watermelons! While there are 100 different ways we’ll explore to incorporate fruit into our summer diet, this little concoction is the perfect first step!
Watermelons are great in a drink for a number of reasons. Obviously, they bring the sweet. there’s no need to add any sugar or honey or any other sweet element. Also, their high water content means you are getting a ton of flavorful juice without having to water down your drink. Finally, who can beat that gorgeous deep pink color? It makes any cocktail or mocktail pop!
Mint and a splash of lime play supporting roles in this recipe, but really watermelon is the star. Sip this drink when you need a reminder of why summer is so special.
Below are clean and spiked variations {We’ll call them lunch and dinner, but we’re not judging! You drink them whenever you like!}
